Springfield Hellcat Pro Holster Guide: Clips, Lights and Comfort

The short answer: for everyday carry, set up your Springfield Hellcat Pro in an IWB (inside-the-waistband) Kydex holster molded for the Hellcat Pro, worn appendix or strong side on a stiff gun belt, with a ModWing Claw to tuck the grip in. Running a red dot? Every Armor Of God holster comes pre-cut for optics. Running a threaded barrel or a light? Add Threaded Barrel Clearance or choose a light-bearing holster built for your exact light.
Why the Hellcat Pro needs its own holster
The Hellcat Pro is longer than the original Hellcat, with a longer slide and grip. A holster molded for the standard Hellcat won't fit it correctly. Step 1: Choose IWB or OWB
IWB is the go-to for everyday concealed carry. The Hellcat Pro's slim profile carries comfortably inside the waistband, and your shirt covers the grip. OWB rides outside your belt for maximum comfort and a fast draw, and works well for range days, classes, open carry or carrying under a jacket. Not sure? Step 2: Red dots and threaded barrels
Many Hellcat Pro owners run an optic, and plenty add a threaded barrel too. Both affect your holster:
- Red dot optic: every Armor Of God holster comes pre-cut for optics, so your red dot rides clear with no special order.
- Threaded barrel: add the Threaded Barrel Clearance upgrade in the builder. It gives extra room at the muzzle so the barrel doesn't bind in the holster.

Step 3: Decide on a weapon light
A light-bearing holster has to be built for your exact gun and light combination. For the Hellcat Pro, we build for:
A light helps you identify what's in front of you in low light, but adds size, so expect a slightly bigger footprint to conceal. If you don't run a light, the standard Hellcat Pro holster is the slimmest setup.
Step 4: Pick your clip (IWB) or mount (OWB)
- Quick Clip 1.5 or 1.75 inch: the standard, all-plastic clip. It needs a belt, so match it to your belt width.
- Monoblock Clip: a metal clip with teeth at the tip. Wear it over a belt or without one. The best of both worlds.
- UltiClip: latches onto your clothing for the most secure hold without a belt. If you wear a belt, it goes right over the clip.

Step 5: Add concealment upgrades
- ModWing Claw: uses your belt to rotate the grip toward your body so the Hellcat Pro prints less. Our top recommendation, especially for appendix carry.
- Threaded Barrel Clearance: for threaded barrels, as above.

Step 7: Don't skip the belt
A dress belt bends under the weight of a loaded Hellcat Pro, so the holster sags and shifts. A purpose-built gun belt keeps everything tight and in place all day. Our KORE gun belts are micro-adjustable, so you can fine-tune the fit.
